Like there's 32,000 people paying for that Patreon. Absolute lowest amount of earned income is over $70k, highest puts it at around a quarter million dollars. $215,000 or so. This is why I dont feel bad pulling games off this site. Anything ever made under "early access" with a patreon link is always a long game scam.

I have a theory (more like presumable reality) that once DC achieves economical milestone (or his supporters wake up from this obtuse lucid dream) - he will annouce a complete departure from the project and sell the rights or just shut down the development. It was a planned obsolescence all along imo. Obviously, this would trash DC notorious reputation even deeper, but he will change the name and comeback with another surface level scam or completely abandon video game industry as a developer. Either way, I agree SS is dead and following any sort of content about it will grow a long term resentment.

I don't think the anonymous internet is the primary cause for that. Many people do it offline and were doing it before the internet became mainstream.:sneaky:

I don't know why people spit so many hate towards the dev. It was/is one of the best game of it's class. And unlike MANY games this game has had completed Main story for years, that's all which matters. (You already have the final resolution of the main story). Then there are ton's of completed side path's.
You can play this game, complete it and move on BUT if you are hardcore fan of this game who wants to support dev then good.
I have also done multiple completed playthrough's of this and i consider it finished, IF or WHEN i see there is significant content change in new versions i will play it again and i will consider it as bonus.

If I remember correctly, it was confirmed that the story was for from completed like you said. I think it was something like "Act I" was near completed, or something like that.

So, technically, we only completed a part of the game, because it was never finished.

There are 3 Main plot quests to complete:

    of the main story (father's death)
  3. Still in progress - finding a date for the Sorority Ball
And that third plot is one of the things this whole tech update was for - the coding to make the dating sim part of the game possible. Under the old code, it wouldn't/couldn't happen. The code wasn't sufficient to handle it.

That's totally possible.

I was sure I've seen something about it when the game was "abandoned" that the main story (about MC's father), was only the first act or something like that.

yeah, maybe - but that might have been someone coping.

Also, yeah, I mean it's also correct that it's far from completed... Even when the date for the dance is in the game (thus 'completing' the game with all three quests) he'll keep adding more and more women (and Kevin... and maybe sissifying Erik) for players to enjoy, if they choose. We both know that it will be many years. Unless DC's health were to sour to a point he had to quit.

No, he will pay for another surgery to remove remaining parts of his brain and then he will be just like his brainded patrons.
Then he will announce a new remake made fully with degenerate AI - to match the dev himself. Then they will all live happily, just like they always wanted. Unlimited Shit Works ending. Until AI accidently finish the project - then all of them will suffer and die. True Happy end.

This game hasn't seen a single cent from my pocket in a few years. I admired DC for making this game and for years I was a regular subscriber to a high tier of their Patreon because the game was amazing to me, but then everything changed and now we have fragments of the past as new stuff. Why the hell can't they just please new and old players? They just promised something that to this day, after years and years, they never delivered. They didn't even manage to reach their goal of updating every 2 months. This game has become a huge piece of shit for everyone who has followed it for all these years. DC is a stupid scammer and there is no opinion that can change my mind about that.

It will take a miracle for someone to revive the protect like what Nergal/Naughty Underworld did with Urban X Life with Urban Demons.
