Octavia is an Awakened displacer beast (one given intelligence by magic) who ate her wizard master and sold all his stuff. This made her wealthy enough to have herself magically modified. Besides several new X-times-a-day powers related to her natural displacement ability (She's not actually standing where she appears to be, the praka servant is politely waiting for her real self to take the goblet) she can now shift from her normal feral self to this anthro version.

Both forms are the same size, which means anthro Octavia stands 8 feet tall and weighs about 450 pounds in this form. While having herself modified so she could change form she naturally bought the "gulper" abilities too, so Octavia is easily capable of swallowing and digesting an adult human. Previously she ate people in little chunks like a real cat, but that's so messy.

Having spent a good chunk of her money on all the magic, she used much of the remainder to buy a boarding house in Verbobonc that caters to the more monstrous sorts of city visitors. She also makes a good living an an exotic dancer, her signature move being to shift between feral and anthro forms mid-dance.

She and Bart are occasional lovers, the badger preferring her feral form. Usefully, the Black Cat boarding house is right down the block from the inn where Bartleby lives.

Always female, not always anthro. 83

I just like the detail that it is better to let the displacer beast take their own cup instead of trying to guess where she is.

When I was finishing it up I realized I maybe should have had the praka looking around blankly, but if he's used to her it's logical he would pretend the image is the real thihg.

Oh, didn't she have that illusion-effect on all the time? Did she ever get that fixed so she can toggle it?

So far in the story it seems to be a continuous effect, but maybe we just didn't see her turn it off. The literature on Beasts doesn't seem to say either. We just don't know. I'll address it at some point.

Yep, Displacer Beasts are definitely underutilized. Imagine an adventuress swallowed whole by one and seemingly floating in midair, squeezed into a fetal position and squirming, her skin turning an angry sunburnt red with digestive acid burns. Or entangled in tentacles, with her cunt stretched around a spiny feline cock.

Displaced vore is something only a couple of people have drawn, me included.

I thought Displaced was not transparent?

The idea is you draw the prey next to the Beast image. In the story with her it’s speculated once something is entirely inside her actual self it disappears, but if it’s only partly inside you can still see it.

Yup, that was what I was thinking. Kind of like falling into an invisible Portable Hole... which sounds like a really mean, if very basic, "pit" style trap

Although there's something to be said about the varying levels of invisibility/transparency for the horror factor like that slow-invisible Man effect from the movie HOLLOW MAN (2000)

Olivia now has various X/day powers which include Mirror Image and Invisibility. Maybe the mage who modified her threw in "transparent enough that you can see people into her stomach" as a bonus.
